In the 60s and 70s, the interior of the Westfalia Bus was characterised by a specific checkered fabric, one of the colours of which differed, this colour indicating the main colour of the interior.
The spare wheel has been hidden by Volkswagen as much as possible to leave as much space as possible in the cargo area, it is half embedded in the engine compartment. Westfalia has not changed anything to the position of the spare wheel, although it has been possible to purchase an additional bracket so that the spare wheel can be mounted on the front of the Bus (see Alternatives tab). Although the spare wheel did not change position from the factory, it was fitted with a checkered fabric covering identical to that of the rest of the passenger compartment.
The cover mentioned here is the same as the one mounted by Westfalia at the time and combines perfectly with the rest of the interior, the interior is lined and the back is partially open to place the cover without having to remove the spare wheel.
Available in the most common Westfalia chequered colour combinations where the first colour indicates the tone.
