The cause of a blown wiper motor is often the mechanism and not the motor. Usually the wiper shafts are the problem; if they are heavy the motor will eventually fail.
When the speed of the wiper movement starts to decrease, you should not wait until they stop but take immediate action to find the cause. The first thing to do is to look at the shafts and the rest of the mechanism. If everything is working fine, the problem will actually be with the motor.
For both the windscreen and for the more luxurious models with a rear window wiper, there is a factory new reproduced wiper motor that is equal to the original.
