It goes without saying that a jack support is made of thick sheet metal that does not rot so quickly, which is not the most common reason why replacement is necessary. The jack supports are often bent by the weight of the VW Bus at full load. The sheet metal to which the cylinder supports are welded will be weakened by rust over the years. If you replace the jack supports, check all parts where it is welded. Make sure these parts are still healthy.
Caution: On Volkswagen Split Bus, the jack's support is a separate part of the rear support beam. This is apparently also the case for the Bay Window Bus, but Volkswagen never supplied the jack holder as a separate part. Originally the jack support including the support beam was delivered, these parts have already been factory welded. With our reproductions, these parts are available separately, so that it becomes possible to replace only the jack support or only the support plate. For each jack support, the support plate is listed under the "related parts" tab, add it if necessary (in case of multiple entries, select the desired side).
