Volkswagen installed an exterior mirror with a larger mirror that was equipped with a reinforced arm, but the result was no better than with the standard mirror. But after-market manufacturers have paid more attention to this. The standard arm was equipped with an additional cross reinforcement.
We have further improved this design by manufacturing it in polished stainless steel.
They are supplied with a stainless steel mounting nut.
Additional information stainless steel:
We recommend that you thoroughly clean all stainless steel parts with a stainless steel cleaner immediately after assembly. It is not the stainless steel that rusts but the swirling iron particles that are created by grinding and sanding. In addition, stainless steel is not resistant to chlorine and can cause a rust reaction if it comes into contact with blossoms of some trees or shrubs. Even in this situation, you polish the stainless steel completely clean again with stainless steel cleaner.
