Our classic Volkswagen has never been equipped with a fog light as standard, with the exception of the Volkswagen Vanagon. For this model, there were versions where the fog lamp was integrated into the rear lamp. You could order a chrome rear fog light as an extra option from your VW dealer (see related parts tab), but most of these orders were made after the purchase of the Vanagon.
If you are purely concerned about safety, when originality doesn't matter or when a chrome fog light doesn't fit your car at all, this universal model is a good choice. In the Netherlands it is compulsory to install a rear fog lamp if the car is registered after 12/1997 and from January 2005 for all trailers up to 750 kg. In many other European countries, this obligation has been in force for much longer, with the date of issue of the car's original documents being irrelevant. You are obliged to install a rear fog light, whether it is a classic car or not.
This universal rear fog lamp with plastic housing can be mounted under or on the bumper, either straight or slightly inclined.
Dimensions of 70 x 110 mm.
Delivered without lamp (see options tab).
