A lambda probe is a sensor located in the exhaust of a gasoline car. The sensor measures the proportion of oxygen in the exhaust gases and transmits it to the engine management system.
The lambda value is an indicator of combustion efficiency. Depending on the lambda value, the engine management system adjusts the composition of the air/fuel ratio. This is done by adjusting the fuel injection, in particular by changing the injection time of the injectors.
If the lambda sensor no longer functions properly, the engine management system is no longer correctly adjusted, resulting in poor combustion. It is not only the technical inspection that will reject the car, but over time, the engine could also be damaged.
Note : You must transfer the original plug connection with wiring from your old lambda sensor as stated in the instructions (documentation tab). Check carefully if the lambda probe listed here matches your engine and year of manufacture before ordering.
