The brake shoes are held in place by pins, springs and clamps. You'll find that when you replace the brake shoes, these mounting parts had their best time.
By the way, did you know that the strength of the spring is reduced by 50-70% within 1-2 years. Most of our classic cars are no longer in daily use, but this means that when you replace the brake shoes, you should at least replace the springs at the same time. It is therefore advisable to order a mounting kit when ordering new brake shoes.
There is a set that only fixes the brake shoes to the backing plate, a separate tension spring set and sets that are equipped with both the mounting parts for the brake shoes on the backing plate and the tension springs between the brake shoe. The sets including the tension springs are available for practically all VW models and years of manufacture, the sets for only mounting the brake shoes on the backing plate is suitable for the most popular years of manufacture and VW models and the loose spring set is available for a limited number of VW models and years of manufacture.
With some rear kits, the clips for fixing the pivot pin of the handbrake control lever pivot and/or push rod are not or only partially included. If this is the case, they are listed in the "Options" tab. Do not forget to order them in addition, they are single-use and cannot be reused.
All sets are designed for two wheels.
Note : Some sets are suitable for several models and/or years, so you may not need all the parts of a set. Despite the number of parts, you may need to order additional parts.
