Most Volkswagens are equipped with chrome rings or headlight rims. The quality of the chrome back then was superior, partly due to the use of substances that are no longer allowed to be used today to protect the environment. You did not have to maintain your chrome in an extreme way, which is unfortunately necessary with today's chrome.
We have the right headlight rims in our range for every Volkswagen model, the most common model also being available in stainless steel. For this model, you can choose between a chrome rim that needs to be well maintained and a stainless steel rim that requires less maintenance. If you choose stainless steel, you will not only have a headlight rim that will still be perfect in 20 years, but also a rim that fits the bodywork well, which is not always the case with the chrome headlight rims.
Check out the "Alternatives" tab to see if the headlight rim for your VW model and/or build year is available in stainless steel or second quality chrome. If you don't have that choice, there is no alternative, but you have a nice headlight rim that you will need to maintain the chrome, if you don't, rust will take over.
For both stainless steel and chrome, you must remember to order the correct polish, which is listed in the options tab.
