The rubber seal of the sliding door is made of one piece. The corners are reinforced and fixed to the horizontal and vertical parts of the rubber by vulcanization.
Many reproduction joints are glued in the corners instead of being vulcanized, they lack strength and tear quickly. This is not the case with the rubber mentioned here, it is the same as the original.
The rubber must be pressed into the recess without glue or other adhesive. If the recess is deformed by rust or a less successful repair, use a minimum layer of silicone-free sealant.
