This seam repair strip is L-shaped and is curved into the rounded shape of the front panel. It replaces the existing underside of the front panel during restoration and can be used to imitate the seam.
When restoring the front panel, you must first weld the edge to the front panel, then beat the edge around the edge of the underlying cover plate and stitch weld it together.
To make an original similar imitation seam, weld the edge on the edge of the cover plates (are listed first on the related tab) and strike it back around this edge or pinched edges, mimic some more spot welds from the top and your imitation edge is the same as the original.
