The sheet metal part of the upper guide of the sliding door is finished on the inside with a rubber. This rubber is not only used for finishing, but is mainly used to protect sharp contours.
On most Volkswagen Buses, this rubber is torn or so discoloured that the original colour is no longer recognisable. This finishing / protection edge has the original cloud white colour and has the same profile as the original. Within seconds, the top edge of your sliding door will be as it came off the factory.
Note: The Volkswagen Split Bus was never equipped with a sliding door as standard, it was an additional factory option that could be chosen from 1963 onwards. For the VW Bay Window Bus, the sliding door was applied as standard.
