Circuit racing or Dragrace cars will not have enough of a high power starter or standard starter. They are looking for a starter capable of providing extreme power and cranking the engine even during the compression cycle. Hi-torque starters are designed for this purpose, to provide sufficient power in all conditions, they can withstand the very high temperatures that are released during the race.
A standard starter is mounted on two points, Hi-torque starters are mounted on 5 points. The solenoid windings are not wrapped in steel but in aluminum and have ventilation holes to quickly dissipate heat.
The starters have been designed in such a way that they no longer need to be supported in the gearbox. If you have a standard car and you want the best besides the fact that you don't have a high power engine, then the Hi-torque starter is a must.
As an additional description, the diameter of the gear is mentioned, among other things. The specified year of manufacture corresponds to the original year of manufacture, but it is possible that your engine or flywheel is no longer original, so check the diameter of the gear before ordering.
