If you're going to lower your vehicle using a lowered front axle, you'll need to ensure that the front axle position is restored, i.e. the caster needs to be adjusted. To do this, you need to place caster shims between the lower tubes of the front axle.
For the upper part of the front axle, you can use the original bolts (listed in the "other models" tab), but for the underside they have become too short by intervention of the caster shims. That's what these extended bolts are for, and of course they also have a hardness of 10.9.
For Volkswagens prior to 7.1965, you don't need the spring washers supplied, as the locking plates that secure two bolts simultaneously are used up to this period. For subsequent years, the locking plates have been replaced by spring washers, which are included in delivery. If you no longer have locking plates, you must use the spring washers supplied to replace the locking plates.
