This electric fuel pump is usually necessary if several carburetors are installed for a tuning engine. The fuel pump has a higher efficiency than the mechanical fuel pump and does not depend on the engine speed.
The fuel pump rotates freely when the carburetor is sufficiently filled, so a return hose is not necessary.
The hole for the original mechanical fuel pump in the crankcase must be sealed with a cover plate (see Options tab).
This quality B fuel pump has a higher efficiency than quality A (see alternatives tab), i.e. 114 liters per hour at a pressure of 0.5 to 0.6 bar.
This is a so-called pulsating fuel pump, which clearly shows that it is present, whereas quality A is of the rotary type, which is almost silent.
In all respects, the B-quality of the fuel pump is just a little lower than the A-quality, which will result in a shorter service life.
The fuel pump is supplied with 8 mm hose connections (also available separately) and is only suitable for carburetor and 12 volt engines.
It is strongly recommended to install the Safety Relay (see Options tab) so that the fuel pump stops as soon as the engine stops.
Note : Many install an electric fuel pump in the engine compartment and often also mounted on the engine, a logical choice but not the safest place. It is best not to install it in the engine compartment and house it elsewhere. It is better to keep it out of the engine compartment and mount it elsewhere. The mounting will then be on the chassis or body, with the disadvantage of transmitting vibrations, which can be felt and heard even in the passenger compartment. By equipping the fuel pump with vibration dampers, this problem is eliminated for good. It is therefore advisable to order them directly, they are listed in the "options" tab.
